Srinagar (KNO) : Tension along the line of control between two neighboring countries, Indian and Pakistan is a matter of great concern for all the people living in these countries but at the same time the main cause for this tension is to be ascertained so that the concerned people get rid of this sordid situation for ever. It is known to all and sundry that the Kashmir issue is long pending and it has not been resolved till now according to the aspirations and wishes of the entire people living in Jammu and Kashmir as it existed at the time of the partition of the sub-continent in 1947 despite the fact that it was promised to the people of J&K that they would be given a free chance to decide their political future according to their own aspirations and their decision would be accepted by both the countries. In this regard, the UNO has also failed to play its role as is expected from this organization which is meant for the protection of the basic right of self-determination of any nation. The people of Jammu and Kashmir has been demanding the fulfillment of the promises made to them and the implementation of the UNSC resolutions but the UNO is playing the role of a silent spectator and the people demanding their genuine right are dubbed as separatists and extremists and Indian government is applying all its might and suppressive measures to muzzle the just voice of people and as such the fundamental rights of the people are blatantly violated by the Indian forces and other agencies deployed here. The world bodies are taking no serious note of this woeful situation the innocent Kashmiris are facing. Jama’at-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir, while expressing deep concern over the escalating tension along the LoC, appeals both the nations to sit along with the real representatives of Jammu and Kashmir to find a just, durable and acceptable solution of the Kashmir dispute and give due regard to the aspirations of the concerned people which is the easy way to end the uncertain atmosphere prevailing in the sub-continent.(KNO)
